Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Angel Zervos
Hi, I’m Angel Zervos, and I’m the founder of Healing Hoof Mental Health Counseling, where healing meets horses through the EAGALA Model of equine-assisted therapy. With a deep passion for mental wellness and a lifelong connection to horses, I created this practice to offer a unique, powerful space for emotional growth, reflection, and change.
As a certified EAGALA professional, I work as part of a dedicated team that includes both a licensed mental health provider and an equine specialist—together, we guide clients through experiential sessions that are grounded, non-riding, and fully client-centered.
I believe that horses have an incredible ability to reflect our inner experiences and provide honest, nonverbal feedback in a way that traditional therapy settings often can’t. Whether working with children, teens, adults, or families, my goal is to help each client feel seen, supported, and empowered to move forward—one step at a time. When I’m not in the arena, you’ll likely find me caring for our therapy herd, continuing my education in trauma-informed practices, or creating safe and inclusive spaces for personal transformation. I’d be honored to walk beside you on your healing journey

Equine Specialist
Nick Zervos
Nick is co-owner and founder, as well as an Equine Specialist (ES) at Healing Hoof, where he partners with licensed therapists to provide equine-assisted psychotherapy and learning sessions. With a deep understanding of equine behavior and a passion for facilitating healing through the human–horse connection, Nick helps clients build trust, awareness, and emotional growth in a supportive environment.
Nick has 5 years of experience working with horses, and is skilled in recognizing subtle equine communication and body language to ensure both client and horse safety and comfort.
He is dedicated to creating a grounded, trauma-informed space where clients can experience the unique insights that come from engaging with horses.
Outside of sessions, Nick enjoys caring for horses on the farm, managing their environment, and continuing education in equine behavior and wellness.
Nick believes that horses are powerful partners in helping people rediscover balance, confidence, and emotional clarity.

Health & Wellness Coach
Amy McCabe
With a passion for helping others grow, heal, and thrive, Amy brings a unique blend of academic expertise, life experience, and genuine connection to her role as a Health & Wellness Coach at Healing Hoof.

Her background gives her a strong understanding of both the human side of growth and the practical tools needed for lasting change. Beyond the classroom, Amy is an adventurer at heart—a licensed private pilot who believes in seeing life from new perspectives, whether it’s from the sky or through the eyes of those she coaches.
She has been married for almost 27 years and is the proud mother of two sons, ages 22 and 8. When she’s not working with clients, you’ll find her reading, exercising, volunteering or spending time with family and friends.
